Case Study 2: Ayr Racecourse
Ayrshire Tree Surgeons were contacted by Ayr Racecourse to conduct emergency tree removal works in the aftermath of the storms in Jan 2012. During the storms a number of mature cedar trees had become severely damaged and posed a significant threat to both people and property. There was also a race meeting planned which would have to have been cancelled if the trees were not removed in time.
By reacting quickly and using the machinery and manpower at our disposal we were able to fell and remove all trees over the course of two days. Some trees required climbing and sectional dismantling due to the proximity of fibre optic cables, however some could be felled whole as shown in the video clip.
